Sanctuary Falls named Design & Build Project of the Year
DMDC Contracting won Design & Build Project of the Year at the Architecture Leaders Awards 2026 for the Sanctuary Falls villa — the second consecutive year the group has been recognised.
At the Architecture Leaders Awards 2026, hosted by Design Middle East, DMDC Contracting was named winner of Design & Build Project of the Year for the Sanctuary Falls villa at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
It is the category that matters most to us, because it is the one that judges the drawing and the building together. Sanctuary Falls was designed, engineered, built and fitted out inside the group, and the joinery — the stair treads, the panelling, the bronze glazed screen — was drawn and manufactured in our own workshop rather than bought in.
It is also a house the group owns. Sanctuary Falls was acquired by DMDC Estates and rebuilt with the group’s own capital, which means the standard it was held to was the one we set for ourselves, with no client to absorb the cost of getting it wrong.
This is the second consecutive year the group has been recognised at these awards. In 2025 DMDC took Lighting Project of the Year for Villa 54 in Aseel, Arabian Ranches, and Tareq Wahdi was Highly Commended in Project Manager of the Year.
