Cookies.
What this site sets, what it measures, and how to refuse the part that is not necessary.
1 · Cookies this site sets.
Two kinds, and the difference matters. Necessary: short-lived technical cookies for security and for the Private Brief form to work. These require no consent under UAE law, because the service you request cannot be delivered without them. Measurement: two cookies set by Microsoft Clarity — _clck, kept a year, and _clsk, a session cookie kept a day — so that a returning visit is not counted twice. Those two are not necessary, and you may refuse them.
2 · What the measurement does, and does not do.
It records which pages are read, how far down them people scroll, and where a link is followed. It does not record who you are. We have configured it not to run at all on the Private Brief, and to hide the contents of any field you type into, everywhere on the site. Nothing it collects is joined to a brief, a name or an address.
There are no advertising cookies, no advertising pixels and no social-media trackers on this site, and nothing here follows you to another one. We measure our own pages to learn which of our guides are useful and where a page loses people — that is the whole of it. The only third party that receives anything at all is Microsoft, as the privacy notice sets out, where the legal basis and the retention period are given.
3 · Your controls.
No banner interrupts you, and no consent is claimed on your behalf: the measurement cookies are simply set when you arrive, and this page says so plainly rather than burying it in a dialogue nobody reads. If you would rather they were not set, every browser can block or delete them — Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge all keep the setting under site data or tracking prevention — and the site remains entirely readable if you do. No page is withheld and nothing is degraded. The same setting will also block the necessary cookie, in which case the private brief may not send.
4 · When this page changes.
This page and the privacy notice change together, on the same day, and the version date above changes with them. The measurement described here was added on 1 August 2026 and both pages were updated then. If anything further is ever added that requires your consent, consent will be sought before it is set, not after.
